Viola Boson

Viola Jean (DuBry) Boson, 72, of Gothenburg passed away at Good Samaritan St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island on Tuesday November 2, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born March 13, 1950 to Lyle and Irene (Dishman) DuBry. She had two older brothers, William and Steve.

She met the love of her life, Albert when she was 13 years old. On August 23, 1965 she and Albert were married in Cody Wyoming. To this union,  six children were born. Matthew, Luke, Mark, Tammie, Amy, and Nelson. The family lived in Wyoming, Montana, and finally settled in Nebraska. During their time in Wyoming, she enjoyed visiting Sinks Canyon, it was one of her favorite places. She loved living in the country and being outdoors. It didn't matter what she was doing outside, if she was with Albert and the kids, she was happy. Walks down by the river with her family was another favorite of hers. Viola also loved her furbabies. She had many over the years, but her most cherished was her chiweenie, Missy.

More than all of that, she loved Albert, he was the love of her life. She never hesitated to tease him any chance she had. They had an unbreakable bond, even with all the stress of everyday life, they were together for 57 years.

Viola is survived by her husband, Albert Boson of Gothenburg, NE; two sons, Mark (Becky) Boson and Nelson (Randi Hamm) Boson, all of Gothenburg, two daughters; Tammie (Mike) Henry of Cody, WY; Amy (Keith Jarmin) Einspahr of Kearney, NE, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Lyle and Irene DuBry, infant sons, Matthew and Luke, brothers, William and Steve DuBry, in-laws Earl and Beatrice Boson, sisters-in-law, Judy DuBry, and Susan Avertt.

Services will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 11:00 am with Greg Hilton officiating.

Memorials may be given to the donors choice.
