Ted Steuben

Ted Allen Steuben, 65, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died January 9, 2023 at Gothenburg Health.

He was born April 13, 1957 in Fullerton, NE, son of Dean and Wanda Steuben. Ted grew up in Central City and Cozad, NE. Ted worked for The Nebraska Department of Roads for 35 years.

Ted enjoyed watching any sport the grandkids played and spending time with his family, friends, and dogs. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. He spent many hours coaching bowling, baseball, and softball. Ted never met a stranger and thoroughly enjoyed talking to everyone he came across.

Survivors include wife, DeAnn Steuben of Gothenburg, NE; son, Jamie (Tonya) Steuben of Gothenburg, NE; daughter, Kimberly (Ron) Manuel of Papillion, NE; four grandchildren, Kellen, Hailey, Tyler, Raniya; brother, Larry (Terri) Steuben of Harlowton, MT; four sisters, Twila (Steve) Gomez of Willow Island, NE; Diane (Marty) Clifton of Great Falls, MT; Sandy Urban of Lexington, NE; and Nicki White of NE; brothers-in-law, Charles and Susie Block of Cozad, NE; and Mel Block of Lexington, NE.

Teddy was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Wanda, two brothers, Tom and Fred; a brother-in-law, Ray Urban; niece Kelly Steuben, Kristy Steuben, Laura Logan, and nephew Steve Gomez II.

Services will be held at the American Lutheran Church, Friday, January 13, 2023 at 11:00 am with Doug Hjelmstad officiating.

Memorials may be given to the family to be decided at a later date.
