Norris L. Grous, 89, of Curtis, Nebraska, died June 8, 2021 at Great Plains Health in North Platte.

He was born May 15, 1932 in Curtis, NE, son of Ernest and Alma Grous. Norris attended and graduated high school in Curtis. In 1954, Norris joined the Coast Guard.

He was a minister in the Worldwide Church of God. Norris loved to work with antiques, rebuilding furniture, farming, fishing, spent many nights camping, and lately loved to sit and watch the birds. Norris always had many activities around the farm for the church members and youth. He was an animal lover and was never afraid to take in an injured or stray animal and nurse it back to health.

Survivors include wife, Doris J. Grous of Curtis, NE; two daughters, Connie (Gary) Glaze of Cozad, NE, Angela (Mark) Morgan of Rock River, WY; grandchildren, Melissa (Matt) Glenn of Lincoln, Jessica (Justin) Cannady of Seward, Bo (Whitney) Morgan of Cody, WY, and Karissa (Chad) Hanson of Greeley, CO; great-grandchildren, Titus Glenn, Amos Glenn, Aiden Cannady, Kaleb Cannady, Owen Morgan, Kallan Morgan, Harley Morgan, Dylan Hanson, Lexi Hanson, and Ryker Hanson.

Norris was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Services will take place on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Fairgrounds in Stockville with Pastor Brian Nicklas officiating.

Memorials may be designated to the Berean Bible Church in Curtis.
