Joel Mcadams

Joel Blaine McAdams, 63, of North Platte, NE, formerly of Gothenburg, NE,  passed away June 26, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE after battling cancer.

Joel was born April 8, 1956 in Gothenburg, NE to Edgar "Tiny" and Peggy (Price) McAdams. After graduation Joel worked in many different areas of the work field. Joel had a passion for books, history and fishing. Joel was an avid lover of music and collector of Elvis Presley.

Joel was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Jarod M. Malcom.

Survivors include his daughter Alyssa Jo Holt (Kris), two grandsons Cameron, and Collin; his sister, Julie (Dwayne) Malcom of Cozad, NE, brother, James (Teri) McAdams of Gothenburg, NE; two nieces Crystal (Charlie) Buesing, Lori Malcom, and a nephew Justin Malcom, two great nieces and four great nephews, along with many other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Monday, July 1, 2019, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Graveside services will be held at the Gothenburg Cemetery, July 1, 2019 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Larry Viter officiating.

Memorials may be sent to Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel for later designation by the family.
