Glenda Wilson

Glenda Gail Wilson, 87, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died April 19, 2022 at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg.

Glenda was born on the family farm 3 1/2 miles NE of Gothenburg to Emil and Helen (Grady) Ludwig.  She attended District 7 School and graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1952.  She married Robert L. Wilson on May 1, 1955 at the American Lutheran Church.  They were the parents of Crystal and Mathew.  Glenda worked at First State Bank for several years.  She was a busy farm wife and mother.

Glenda was a member of Banner United Methodist Church for 67 years where she taught Sunday School for many years.  She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and reading books, she crocheted and knitted many things for her family and friends. Glenda was an excellent cook and gardener and always enjoyed canning her produce.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Robert Lee Wilson of Gothenburg; daughter, Crystal (Doug) Max of Gothenburg; son, Mathew Wilson of Gothenburg; two sisters-in-law Jan Ludwig of Lincoln and Kathie (Ron) Koca of Forsyth, MO, seven grandchildren, nine great-great grandsons, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Ludwig, sisters, Donna Keiser and Norma Ludwig, daughter-in-law, Lisa Wilson, and Aunt Iva Wilson.

Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, NE; Friday, April 22, 2022, 4:00 - 7:00 PM with the family present from 4:00 - 6:00 PM.

Services will be held at Banner United Methodist Church, Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Bonnie Brock officiating.

Interment will follow in the Peckham Cemetery.
