Billie Christensen

Billie Pauline Christensen passed away at her home on November 28, 2021.

Billie was born in La Crescenta, CA on March 21, 1943 to Paul and Grace Smith. The Smith family including her grandmother Lilly and her uncle Billy moved to Maywood, NE in 1946. Billie graduated from Maywood High School in 1961 and attended Manhattan Bible College before moving to Colorado in 1963. Billie moved back to Maywood in 2019 after her retirement. She had been working part time as a cook at Senior Living Choices in Curtis.

Billie loved horses and was in several riding clubs growing up. Her life passions were quilting, cats, birds, flowers and her family.

Billie worked at Red Lobster, JoAnns and Mountain Man while living in Colorado.

Billie is survived by her son Dan Christensen of Littleton, CO; grandchildren Jessin (Ben) Bartlette-Vinci, Troi Christensen and Trysten Brown; great grandchildren Cady, Michael, Avery, Harper, Maryjane and Paisley; brother Dan (Karen) Smith of Maywood.

Cremation was chosen by Billie and services will be held at a later date in Colorado.
