William Michael "Mike" Flynn, 66, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died October 26, 2018 in Omaha, NE.
He was born October 17, 1952 in Jacksonville, N.C., son of William and Phyllis (Bernhardt) Flynn.
Mike grew up in Indiana and graduated from Lowell in Indiana before moving to Nebraska. He lived in Ainsworth, Holdrege, and Gothenburg where he opened Mikes Body Shop.
He was a member of various car clubs. Mike mostly enjoyed repairing cars, fishing, playing golf, spending time with his grandkids, four wheeling in the jeep, doing DIY projects with his daughter, and his dog Mya. Mike was a very meticulous person and put his heart into everything he did.
Surviving are son, Ryan (Kristen) Flynn of Kearney, NE, daughter, Danielle (Zach) Brown of Omaha, sister, Chris (Jack) Shields of Oblong, IL, brothers, Jeff (Michele) Flynn of Lexington, and David (Angie) Flynn of Palestine, IL, granddaughter, Gracie Flynn, grandson, Wesley Flynn, and his mother, Phyllis Flynn of Lexington, NE, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his father William Flynn.
Visitation will be held at the Gothenburg Evangelical Free Church, Gothenburg, Nebraska, one hour prior to the service on Friday, November 2, 2018.
Services will be held at the Evangelical Free Church, Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11:00 am with Pastors Scott Newman and Bruce Beebout officiating.
Interment will follow in the Gothenburg Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the family for later designation.
