Thomas Eugene Eckholt, 72, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died October 14, 2016 at Cozad Health Systems in Cozad, NE.
He was born July 28, 1944 in Yankton, SD, son of Cyril B Eckholt and Mary Lalande Eckholt. Tom served his country in the Armed Forces for 2 years. Thomas moved around the country and settled in Gothenburg in 2004. He spent many years working as a painter and a cook. He grew a big garden and was often called "Tom the Produce Man". He enjoyed fishing and was called "Tom the Fisherman". He was a very private man and treasured his alone time.
There will be no services held. Thomas will be laid to rest near his favorite fishing hole.
