Stanley Maline

Stanley Maline, 89, of Wallace, Nebraska, died January 15, 2015 at the North Platte Care Center in North Platte, NE where he had resided the last few months.
Stanley Godfrey Maline was born March 26, 1925 at Rock Island Table north of Gothenburg, NE. He was one of five children born to Godfrey and Lydia (Lindstedt) Maline. His childhood years were spent near Gothenburg where later his children were born.  Stan served his country in the US Army from June 1945 to November 1946.
In 1947 he married Bernice Garrelts; to this union six children were born. In 1973, they moved to Wallace, NE where he continued his farming and ranching.
Stan was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was respected and well liked by friends and neighbors in the community. His love for horses and rides in the pasture, were only surpassed by his love and devotion to his family, he was very proud of his family and grandchildren and great grandchildren.He was a member of the American Legion and the American Quarter Horse Association.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Bernice; children, Judy (Jim) Little of New Market, Virginia, Cheryl "Terrie" (Mike) Gonzales of Grand Island, LuAnne (Tony) Barner of Wallace, Ronda (John) Kreifels of Lincoln, and Randy (Denice) of Wallace. He is survived by 18 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister in law, Bonnie Maline, brother in law, Aksel (Betty) Jensen, sister in law, Alice Sheffield, sister in law, Linda (Bill) Hughes, sister in law, Donna Garrelts and brother in law Glenn Garrelts. Along with many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and in laws, and infant daughter; his sisters Gwendolyn Jensen and Rose Marie (John) Swanson; brother Byron (Opal) Maline, brother Wayne Maline;  brother in laws, Bernard Garrelts, Verlo Sheffield, Marcee Van Wart, and sister in law, Marilyn VanWart and sister in law Susan Garrelts; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and family members as well.






Stanley's family invites you to join them for lunch at the church at noon on Monday, January 19.


Visitation will be held at North Platte Seventh-day Adventist Church, 815 West Francis St, North Platte, Nebraska; Monday, January 19, 2015, 12:00 to 1:30 pm.


Funeral Services will be held at North Platte Seventh-day Adventist Church, 815 West Francis St, North Platte, NE on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Luis Contreras officiating.


Interment will follow in the Gothenburg Cemetery, Gothenburg, Nebraska.
