Russell D. McIntosh, 76, of Gothenburg, NE died on December 7, 2006 in Gothenburg. Russell was born March 19, 1930 to Robert and Marvel (Flint) McIntosh in Peabody, Kansas.
He grew up in Peabody, Kansas and attended school there. Russ served at Peace Time in the Navy from December 1947 é�a��" August 1948 and was discharged due to an injury.
He worked part time for Co-op fertilizer and also worked for Gothenburg Feed for over 36 years.
Russell married Ester Remple to this union 3 sons, Randy, Rick, Shane and one daughter Debbie. Later he married Betty Viter to this union 1 daughter Shanna was born.
His special interests were being outdoors, hunting and he enjoyed walking.
He is survived by his sons: Randy (Sherry) McIntosh , Shane McIntosh & Rick McIntosh of California. Two Daughters Debbie McIntosh of Kansas and Shanna (Tim) Keiser of Gothenburg. 7 Stepdaughters Linda, Cheryl, Donna, Roxie, Sandy, Karen, Lana. One Brother Elvin McIntosh of Hutchinson, Kansas and a sister Colleen Bruner of Florence, Kansas. 23 Grandchildren and 28 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both parents, a brother (Benny) é�a��" 1 grandchild & 1 great grandchild.
Visitation will be Sunday 1:00 p.m. é�a��" 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2006 at the American Lutheran Church in Gothenburg with Pastors Matthew Groenke and Larry Viter officiating.
