Raymond Klein

Raymond Lester Klein, 83, of Trenton, formerly of Bartley, Nebraska, died August 28, 2017 at Great Plains Health in North Platte, NE.
He was born February 27, 1934 in Farnam, NE, son of Louis and Nona (Hayworth) Klein.
Raymond married Arlene Toberer on August 25, 1951 to this union five children were born; Gary, Rod, Brent, Carla and Jeff. He farmed and ranched in the Farnam area and sold seed for NC+ seed company for many years. In the early 1990's he moved to Bartley where he went to work at the UAP fertilizer plant where he sprayed for clients all over the area. Raymond enjoyed hunting and trapshooting, going snowmobiling, heading to the mountains and playing cards. He loved his horses and cattle.
Surviving are sons, Gary (Dianne) Klein of Farnam, Rod (Marla) Klein of Farnam, Brent (Bev) Klein of McCook, NE, and Jeff (Dee) Klein of Maywood, NE, daughter, Carla (Tony) Boots of North Platte, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 8 step great grandchildren, aunt, Darlene Klooz, along with many friends and extended family.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Ruth Klein, brothers, Russel and Ross Klein, grandson, Tony Klein, great-granddaughter, Audrey Ann Klein.
Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Wednesday, August 30, 2017, 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm. with the family present from 5:00-7:00pm.
Funeral services will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Greg Boller officiating.
Interment will follow in the Farnam Cemetery, Farnam, Nebraska.
Memorials may be given to the Farnam Fire Department or the El Dorado Manor Nursing Home in Trenton, NE.
