Randy Parker

June 4, 1952 — December 8, 2015

Randy was born at St. Mary’s Hospital in North Platte, Nebraska. As a toddler, he lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming for a year and a half before the family returned to Nebraska and settled in Curtis.

He attended the Curtis Grade School and graduated from Medicine Valley High School in 1970. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, flying, and playing chess.

After high school, he attended Chadron State College and Kearney State College, majoring in accounting.

In the late 70s, he married Doreen Collins of McCook. They resided in Eagle Lake, Texas for a couple of years before returning to McCook. They divorced in the early 80s and he moved to Kansas, where he worked in the grocery industry.

In 1984, he moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and had the good fortune to meet the Weiss family with whom he lived for 30 years.

He held several jobs over the years. He worked in landscaping and carpentry, was a sales rep in the grocery industry, and an administrator for the Milwaukee Tribune.

Randy was an organ donor. Thanks to him, two people in Wisconsin have regained their vision. Burn victims have also received skin grafts.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by his sister, Janet of Nashville TN, stepsister, Debra Covey (Jon) of Maywood, nieces Amanda Covey of Lincoln, Randi Covey (Wes Kincaid), great-niece, Mikaylee Grace of North Platte, cousins Monte Wills Kotrous, Sandy Wills, nephews Rusty and Gary Wills and their families, numerous cousins, and the Weiss family of Milwaukee, WI.

Per his request, interment will be at the Curtis Cemetery next to his mother, Irene and his father, Wayne.

Graveside services will be held Friday, April 8, 2016 at 3:00 pm at the Curtis cemetery.
