Rachel June Wilson, 85, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died June 26, 2020 at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE.

Rachel was born September 21, 1934 in Boise, ID daughter of William O and Jessie (Lowe) Bragstad.  She was raised in Boise, ID and graduated from Boise High in 1953.  She married Willard J Wilson on May 12, 1957, they made their residence in and around the Gothenburg area for many years.  The couple was blessed with a daughter, Elizabeth, in 1977.  Willard preceded her in death in 1980.  Rachel worked for many years in food service.  She and Elizabeth lived for several years in Oskaloosa, IA. After their return to Gothenburg, she worked for many years at the Senior Center doing a variety of jobs.  Rachel loved to sew, knit, crochet and quilt.  She spent many evenings with her family and friends putting together jig-saw puzzles. She was never too busy to spend time chatting with her family and friends.  She was a strong Christian lady with a deep love for Jesus.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth and Steve Smith of Kansas City, KS; her adopted granddaughter Kellie J Stokes-Smith of St. Charles, MO; along with many friends and extended family.

Rachel was preceded in death by her husband, Willard, her parents and her brother Jeremiah O Bragstad.

Receiving of friends will be held after the burial from 4:00-6:00 pm, Tuesday, June 30th at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, NE.

Funeral Services will be held at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, June 30, 2020 at 10:00 am, Masks are required by the Cemetery for all individuals.

Memorials may be given to the Gothenburg Senior Center, 410 20th Street, Gothenburg, NE 69138.
