Norma "Jean" Sabin

Norma Jean Sabin, 76, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died December 17, 2017 at Gothenburg Health surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born September 4, 1941 in Genoa, NE, daughter of Dale and Marjory McQueen.

Jean married Raymond "Tony" Sabin on February 16, 1962.  She spent 55 years building a family of kids, grandkids and great grandkids with Tony, but kept her door open and an open seat at her table for friends to come by and visit. She enjoyed playing card games, dice games and board games with the family and especially loved the Christmas Eve traditions at her house every year.  She also enjoyed leisure time with Tony and spending time with her close personal friend Rhonda.  She was always present for birthdays, holidays and special events for her kids and grandkids; her great granddaughter Kali and nieces and nephews.

Jean was survived by her husband Tony, her four children -  Rex Sabin of North Platte, Julie (Ivan) Oberg of North Platte, Lorrie (Shawn) Scarrow of Brady, and Katie (Thomas) Holley of Gothenburg.  Her grandchildren -  Michelle (Sally), Tyler, Shaunna (Richie) Kaleigh, Trevor, Brad (Laura), Heather (Troy), Jolene (Jared) and Janele (Jeremy); her niece Connie (Howard) and close friend Rhonda. She also had many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Jean was preceded in death her parents Dale & Marjory McQueen and her three sisters - Margie, Linda and Joan.
Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Thursday, December 21, 2017, 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm. with the family  present from 5:00 to 7:00.
Funeral services will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Friday, December 22, 2017 at 10:30 am with Pastor Larry Viter officiating.
Interment will follow in the Gothenburg Cemetery, Gothenburg, Nebraska.
