Monte Kenning

Monte Harold Kenning, 57, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died June 3, 2019 at his home in Gothenburg with his family at his side.

He was born December 16, 1961 in Lexington, NE, son of Kenny and Donna Rae (Lutjemeyer) Kenning.

Monte graduated from Gothenburg High School and later National Taxidermist of Colorado and Colorado School of Trades for Gunsmithing.  He also achieved his gasoline engine course certification.    He lived in Nebraska, Arizona and Colorado.  He enjoyed hunting, motorcycles and ranching.  Monte married Teresa Nichols on June 16, 2018 at Gothenburg.  Monte operated OK Bottle for many years.

Surviving are his wife Terri Kenning, father Kenny (Kathy) Kenning, sister Theresa (Tim) Holley, step-daughter KyleLynn Hughes and her children Ezra and Maia; step-dauther Devon (Trent) Yendra;  nieces and nephews Tiffany (Jared) Burke; Kaitlyn, Kole, Adi, Trysten, Jessy Ellison; Kaitylynn, Dallas, Stetson and Bella; Elissa (Dan) Newbrey, Brennan, Braden; Landon Ellison, Easton and Maddie; Reed (Samantha) Howard and Dylan; Kasey (Mariah) Kenning, Aesir, Thomas and family; many extended family, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Monte was preceded in death by mother, Donna Rae Kenning and his brother Mitch Kenning.

Memorial Graveside services will be held at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, 77191 HWY 47, Gothenburg, NE, Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11:00 am with Pastor Carol Mapa officiating.

Memorials may be given to the Gothenburg Hunter Safety.
