M. Marion Hoschouer

August 16, 1922 — January 13, 2017

M. Marion Hoschouer, 94, of Longmont, CO Formerly of Maywood, died January 13, 2017 in Longmont, CO.

Maude Marion Hoschouer was born in Hayes County Nebraska on August 16, 1922, to Clyde Marion and Esse Ellen (Stevens) Brown.    As a freshman at Maywood High School, she fell in love with a senior named Kenneth Hoschouer. For the next 80 years, this love never wavered.

Marion graduated from Maywood High School in 1941, and on July 30th she became Mrs. Kenneth Hoschouer.  They moved to Tennessee where Kenneth was studying for the ministry at Johnson Bible College.  Together they ministered to churches in Tennessee, Nebraska (including three ministries in Wymore), Oklahoma, Indianapolis, IN; Cheyenne, WY; Havre, MT; and Pueblo and Elbert, CO. Marion used her gifts of teaching and hospitality to the glory of God.

Next to her love for the Lord was Marion’s love for Kenneth and their children:
Rod and Verian Hoschouer (Newburgh, IN)
Jim and Connie Gilmore (Longmont, CO)
George and Marsha McKamey (Loveland, CO)
Harvey and Robin Sayers (Wymore, NE)
and their 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Kenneth and Marion loved to spend time together, especially camping in the Rockies. They celebrated their 50th anniversary with a camping trip to Alaska.
On November 19, 1998, Kenneth passed away unexpectedly in Pueblo, CO.  The following year, Marion moved to Ames, IA to live with Jim and Connie. She remained involved in church activities and  was a volunteer at Ames Public Library for 16 years.  Marion spent hours working jigsaw puzzles and reading her Bible.

Last November, at the age of 94, Marion moved with Jim and Connie to Longmont, CO. On January 13, 2017, at her home in Longmont, Marion went home to Jesus as she had long desired to do.
