Mary "Cathy" Millsap

Mary Catherine Millsap, 67, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died July 29, 2015 at her home in Gothenburg following a battle with cancer.

She was born September 8, 1947 in Los Angeles, CA, daughter of Matthew and Gretchen Kerr.

Cathy grew up at Eureka, CA and graduated from Eureka High with the class of 1962.  She lived at Newport News, VA from 1967 to 1968.  She married Ralph Douglas Millsap on April 16, 1967 at Eureka, CA and they moved to Gothenburg in 1968. Cathy worked at Skyview farms for 20 years, starting in 1988 until her retirement.  She was the office manager and mostly dealt with recruiting and safety.She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, motorcycles, and "Tea Parties" with friends and her flower garden.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are husband, Ralph Douglas Millsap of Gothenburg, NE, three sons, Eric (Laine) Millsap of Gothenburg, NE, Mark Millsap, Kyle (Joelle) Millsap of Grand Island, NE; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren along with numerous extended friends and family.

Cathy was preceded in death by her infant daughters, Whitney and Allison Millsap; her brother, Matthew Kerr, her parents and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Millsap.

Memorial Services will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Friday, August 7, 2015 at 11:00 am with Pastor Bill Ivey officiating.

Private inurnment will be in Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska.
