Marjorie Lindekugel

Marjorie M. Lindekugel, 89 of Gothenburg, NE, died August 26, 2017 at Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney NE.

She was born Marjorie May Sherman on May 27, 1928 in Gothenburg Ne. She was the daughter of Jim and Helen (Fiddock) Sherman.

Margie grew up and attended schools in Gothenburg.  She and Floyd Lindekugel were married in 1954.  In 1959 they moved to Southern California and settled in San Bernardino where they raised their children.  After Floyd retired, they returned to Nebraska in 1986 and made their home in Margie’s home town of Gothenburg.

Survivors include her three children (two daughters and a son) and their spouses; Paula and Larry Hashman; JoAnn and Tom Lunsford; Jim and Shelly Lindekugel;  seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; brother - Donald Sherman; sisters - Mimi Dodge, Margaret Rubenthaler and DeDe Diehl; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents Jim & Helen Sherman; husband Floyd Lindekugel; and grandson Tim Lindekugel.

Graveside Services will be held at Gaslin Cemetery, Friday, September 1, 2017 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Larry Viter officiating those wishing to process with the family may meet at the funeral home at 12:45.

Marjorie was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church and In Lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church, 1002 Ave C, Gothenburg, NE 69138.
