CURTIS: Margaret Maxine Danbom, 74, of Curtis, NE, died Monday, November 20, 2006 at her home in Curtis. She was born on July 19, 1932 in Keystone, NE. to Charles and Addie (Cowman) Embrey. She graduated from Maywood High School, and grew up on the family farm near Wellfleet.

She made her home in the Maywood area for 23 years, before moving in to Curtis, where she has resided for the past 6 years. Margaret was employed by the Maywood Insurance Co. as a secretary, for 27 years.

On December 6, 1980 she married Bill Danbom in North Platte, NE.

Margaret enjoyed playing cards and was involved in 2 bridge clubs. She crocheted doilies, baby blankets and enjoyed crafts with Bill. She especially loved her grandchildren and enjoyed all her friends.

She is survived by her Husband: Bill. Two sisters: Mildred Garner of Wellfleet and Dorothy DeMoss of Williston, N.D. Two sons Rich Thayer and Mike and Peggy Thayer all of McCook. One daughter Sherry (Doug) Schneiderheinz of Grand Island. 13 Grandchildren. Seven and a half great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers Jim and Lynn Embrey, 3 sisters Dolly Nelson, Twylia Naimo and June Cooley.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 27, 2006, 10:30 a.m. at the First Methodist Church in Curtis, NE, with Rev. Kevin Burkhardt officiating.

Visitation is Sunday 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial is in Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to the Maywood Community Hall or the Frontier County Ambulance Service.

Arrangements are in the care of Blase-Wetzel-Strauser Memorial Chapel in Curtis.
