Magdalene Loretta Thompson, 59, of Curtis, Nebraska, died March 30, 2016 in Cozad, NE.

She was born August 29, 1956 in Washington DC, MD, daughter of Joseph Robert and Magdalene Cecelia (Elco) Kulesza.

Magdalene grew up in Maryland and lived there until she was in her mid twenties.  She then moved to Curtis to attend NTCA, and graduated from the Vet Tech program. She made Curtis her home for the rest of her life. Magdalene married Dewayne Thompson on October 17, 1981 at the United Methodist Church in Curtis; together they raised four daughters - Magdalene, Jessica, Krysta, and Katie. Magdalene worked at Cabelas in customer service for 18 years.  She enjoyed crafts, fishing, tubing, boating, gardening, camping, mowing, cleaning, swimming and going to the ocean.

Survivors include her husband Dewayne of Curtis, four daughters, Magdalene (Mac) McClellen of Farnam; Jessica (Mike) Jones of Kearney;  Krysta (Kyle) Hampton of Hyannis; Katie (Ryan) Urbanovsky of North Platte; two granddaughters, Sierra Hampton and Channing Jones; one grandson, Wyland Urbanovsky; two sisters, Monica (Brian) Johnson of Richmond, VA; Mary (Michaline) West of Lothain, MD; two brothers, Steve (Bernedette) Kulesza of Deale, MD; Mark (Caroline) Kulesza of Croom, MD; mother-in-law, Mary Etta Thompson of Curtis; brother-in-law, Larry (Eileen) Thompson of Curtis, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Magdalene was preceded in death by her parents Joseph Robert and Magdalene Cecelia  Kulesza,  her father-in-law Howard James Thompson, brother-in-law Kevin West and sister-in-law Phyllis June Thompson.

Visitation will be held at Blase-Wetzel-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Curtis, Nebraska; Monday, April 4, 2016, 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm. with the family present from 4 to 6.

Services will be held at First United Methodist Church, 402 Center Ave, Curtis, NE on Tuesday,  April 5, 2016 at 2:00 pm.

Interment will follow in the Curtis Cemetery, Curtis, Nebraska.

Memorials may be given to the to the family.
