She was an avid bridge player, an accomplished seamstress, an amazing cook, and one of the original “super moms” who worked full-time in their business operations, as well as serving as a Girl and Boy Scout leader for her children's troops, and as a volunteer for many community activities.

Following retirement, Lucille and Art traveled extensively all over North America and throughout Europe.  They were winter residents in Yuma, AZ, for 14 years, participating in many activities and attending various classes at Arizona Western College.  In 2010, Art and Lucille moved to Linden Court in North Platte, NE, where they lived the remainder of their lives.

Lucille is survived by her daughter, Debi (Burnell) Steinmeyer of North Platte, NE, her son, Harold, of Alma, NE, her grandchildren, DJ and Chelsea (Veire) Steinmeyer, Bre Steinmeyer, and Abbi Polak, and a great-grandson, Cyrus Jordan.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and two sisters, Olive Rashleigh and Gayle Hansen.
