Lora Garner

Lora Lee Garner, 61, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died November 9, 2017 at her home in Gothenburg, NE.

She was born June 23, 1956 in North Platte, NE, daughter of Clifford "Dean" Johnson and Kay (Brodine) Johnson. She grew up in North Platte and live there for many years.  Lora married John Garner on June 18, 1976 at North Platte in a union of nearly 40 years; four children were born - Leanne, J.D., Andrew and Ruby. The family resided in Gothenburg, making the community their home for 23 years.  She enjoyed crocheting, giving people a hard time with a smile on her face and spending time with her grandkids.  She liked to drive truck and loved her animals.

Survivors include - son Andrew (Shannen) Garner, of Gothenburg; daughter, Ruby (Shane) Bappe of Cozad, NE, daughter, Leanne (Chris) Garner-Twohig,  grandchildren - John Jr, Haley, Kalyn, Emma, Lily, Olivia, Regan, Ethan, Damion, Ethan, Peyton, Addison, Daniel and great grandchild Tanis. Her mother - Mary Johnson, Garden City, KS, Her siblings - Vicki Johnson, Cheyenne, Wy; Deena Blazek, Lincoln, Ne;  Russell ( Vicky) Johnson, Cheyenne, Wy;  Janine (Tony) Miller, North Platte, Ne; Darek ( Laurie) Johnson, Maxwell, Ne.  nieces and  nephews: Gregg (Shawna) Heil, Mackenzie and Darion; Misty Heil, Kelton and Max; Alicia (Bobby Fodge) Mould, Nick and James;  Danielle Fanter, Dionce' and Daja; Heather and Zachary Miller, Tyler Johnson, Brooke (Calvin Parrett) Johnson along with other extended family and friends.

Lora was preceded in death by husband, John Garner, son, JD Garner, parents, brothers Jon and Sean Hughes, granddaughter Jona Garner.

The Family will be having a memorial service at the God Rock located at 304 W 10th Cozad, NE on November 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
Memorials may be given to the family for final expenses, Central Plains Hospice, or the Gothenburg Senior Center.
