Kevin Maline

Kevin Maline, 57, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died August 14, 2021, after a short battle with cancer, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE.

He was born May 22, 1964 in Cozad, NE, son of Vernon and Joyce Maline. Kevin grew up north of Gothenburg on Rock Island Table and attended the county line school and later on Gothenburg High School. Following high school, Kevin attended Kearney State College before moving back home. Kevin married Lindi Schnacker on February 12, 2000 at the Gothenburg Evangelical Free Church.

He was a member of the Cornerstone Bible Church, where he was an Awana Leader for 15 years.

Kevin enjoyed cooking for family and friends, spending time learning about family history and doing genealogy on the family, spending time in his garden, listening to 70's music, Olie and Lena jokes, and calving season and taking care of his cows.

Survivors include wife, Lindi Maline of Gothenburg; two sons, Hayden Maline of Gothenburg, and Holden Maline of Gothenburg; two brothers, Keith (Anita) Maline of Gothenburg, Kerry (Shane) Maline of Gothenburg; nieces and nephews, Kyle (Carrie) Maline of Michigan, Andrew Maline of Gothenburg, and Jennifer Maline of Scottsbluff; uncle Gaylord Maline of Gothenburg; aunts Lynette White of Lexington, DeeDee Cooper of Littleton, CO and Janice Cooper of Cozad, brother-in-law Darby Schnacker, along with many extended family and friends.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Joyce, grandparents, Byron and Opal, and Marion and Ida May Cooper, uncles Jim Cooper, Ben Cooper and Richard White.

Visitation will be held at the Cornerstone Bible Church on Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM with the family present from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be held at Cornerstone Bible Church, Monday, August 23, 2021 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Scott Newman officiating.

Burial will follow in the Gothenburg Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Awana at Cornerstone Bible Church, or the Cornerstone Bible Church Deacon Fund.
