Joshua Buffington

Joshua Phillip Buffington, 37, of Maywood, Nebraska, died February 19, 2019 in Maywood.

Joshua Buffington was born March 21,1981 in Grant, NE. Three days after his birth, Josh was united with his God chosen family in Imperial, NE. Parents Dick and Cheri surprised his three sisters, Brenda, Rhonda and Heidi with a new baby brother who completed their family.

Josh attended several elementary schools as his family moved to various places throughout his childhood. He attended High School in Clayton NM and Ogallala NE.

He had a love for horses that he undoubtedly got from his dad and he shared that with his children. Josh had a quick wit and was always striving to make those around him laugh. He enjoyed cooking, especially when it involved being outside grilling. There is no denying the pride and joy Josh had for his children. His face would light up with a smile when he spoke of Weston and Dally.

He is survived by son Weston, daughter Dally and their mother Stacey, dad Dick, mom Cheri (Roger), sister Rhonda (Mitch), sister Heidi (Doug), brother-in-law Jess, Grandma Maxine, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many friends.

Josh was preceded in death by his sister Brenda, Grandad Norm, Grandpa Buff and Grandma Helen.

Services will be held at the Maywood Community Hall, February 25, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Dale Heimer officiating.

Memorials may be sent to Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, 620 10th Street, Gothenburg, NE to assist with funeral expenses.
