Jack L. Soller, 94, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died March 16, 2024 in Gothenburg, NE.
Jack was born June 11, 1929 in Kearney, NE, son of Elmer Guy and Doris (Hecox) Soller.
Jack was a member of VFW, American Legion and Cozad Elks Club, and the Gothenburg Honor Guard since 1955. He was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Gothenburg, served as trustee and member of the session. Jack served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955 as a Sergeant and Military Policeman serving in Morocco, North Africa, Salina, KS and Albuquerque, NM. He enjoyed the dance club, flying club, hunting and blue rock shooting. Jack married Donna Jean Townsend on July 1, 1960 in Gothenburg, NE, and to this union one daughter was born.
Survivors include daughter, Alexis (Kirk) McNeal of Kearney, NE; granddaughter, Lauren Soller McNeal; and Jane Herndon (partner).
Jack was preceded in death by wife, Donna Jean Soller, sister, Joan Beck, parents Elmer Guy and Doris Soller.
Services will be held 10:30 am, Friday, April 5, 2024, at the First Presbyterian Church, 1020 Lake Ave, Gothenburg, NE, with Rev. David Boyd officiating.
Interment will follow in the Gothenburg Cemetery and Fort McPherson National Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the Gothenburg Honor Guard, or the First Presbyterian Church.
