Irene Bellamy

Irene Jeanne (Caron) Bellamy died on September 2, 2006 at Park Avenue Estates in Lexington, NE. She was born on October 26, 1920 in Salem, Mass. to Sabastian and Adelaide (Bouchard) Caron. She was educated in Salem.


On November 26, 1942 she married Noble Bruce Bellamy. In Salem, Mass. Noble preceded her in death on June 27, 1989. They moved to Nebraska in August of 1945, and to Farnam in 1946. She was a postal clerk for a few years at the Farnam Post office, worked at the Farnam Bank for 18 years, retiring in 1984 and was a Charter Member of the Farnam American Legion Auxiliary. Irene had lived in Gothenburg since 1994 before moving to Park Avenue Estates in August of 2000.


Survivors: Twin Sons: Raymond (Nancy) Bellamy of Land O'Lakes, Florida and Ronald (Mireille ) Bellamy of O'Fallon, Missouri. 4 Grandchildren: Tim (Debra) Bellamy; Richard Bellamy; Marie (Pat) Jandro and Jane (Scott) Glor. 6 Great-Grandchildren. 2 Sisters-in-Law: Alice Caron of Peabody, Mass. and Harriet McCormack of Elwood, NE. 3 Brothers-in-law: Kenneth (Doris) Bellamy of Farnam, NE; Jack (Marlys) Bellamy of Arapahoe, NE; Joe (Lloydell) Bellamy of Elwood, NE.


Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 6 sisters, 5 brothers.


Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2006, 1:00 p.m. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery with Rev. Donald O'Brien as Celebrant. Memorial book will be available to sign on Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Farnam Senior Center.
