Gladys Mae Cross, 98, of Farnam, Nebraska, died October 3, 2021 at Gothenburg Health.

She was born June 14, 1923 in Orafino, NE, daughter of Milo and Goldie (Kilburn) Nickerson.

Gladys married Gordon D. Cross on August 23, 1943 at Oberlin, KS.  She enjoyed crocheting rag rugs, sewing, tending to the chickens, cooking, gardening, and most of all, she loved to spend time with her family. She was a member of the Church of God of Abrahamic faith in Moorefield, NE.  Gladys loved attending her kids and grandkids sporting events and activities.

Survivors include three daughters, Virginia Norby of Farnam, Coleen Davis of Lincoln and Vickie Elson of Curtis; son, Deloit (Carol) Cross of Moorefield; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Gladys was preceded in death by husband, Gordon D. Cross, daughter, Katherine Cross, parents, Milo and Goldie Nickerson, Siblings Helen Sheffield, Donald Nickerson, Harold Nickerson, Delmer Nickerson, Gene Nickerson, Lois Anderson and Maxine Yakich.

Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska, Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

Graveside Services will be held Thursday, October 7, 2021 in the Farnam Cemetery at 11:00 AM.

Memorials may be given to the Farnam Senior Center.
