Frances Joan Jobman

Frances Joan Jobman, 91, of Gothenburg, NE, died August 7, 2023 at StoneHearth Estates, Gothenburg, NE.

She was born August 14, 1931, North of Cozad, NE, daughter of Ralph John and Hilda (Blankman) Block. 

She was a member of the American Lutheran Church.

Frances married Lester Jobman on December 16, 1951 at Christ Lutheran Church at Gothenburg. To this union, three children were born, Terry, Heidi, and Matthew.

She was a life long resident of Gothenburg. Frances loved to square dance anywhere and played bridge at least twice a week. She was the church secretary and played the organ for the church.  She attended every sporting and club event that her children and grandchildren were involved in, and loved to travel with Lester.

Survivors include son, Terry Jobman (Nancy) of Gothenburg; daughter, Heidi Jobman of Chappell; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Jobman (Gary Nelson) of Gothenburg; three grandsons, Chris Morris and wife Angie Hopkins of Kansas City, KS, Andy (Becky) Jobman, David (Jana) Jobman all of Gothenburg; two granddaughters, Erica Jobman and Chris Harbeson of Sidney, Erin Jobman and husband Ben Suchsland of Blue Hill; two great-grandsons, Adam and Jackson Jobman.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lester Jobman, son, Matthew Jobman, son-in-law, Roger Morris, and granddaughter, Susan Elizabeth Jobman.

Memorial Services will be held at American Lutheran Church, August 12, 2023 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Doug Hjelmstad Officiating.

Inurnment will take place in the American Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the Gothenburg Senior Center, 410 20th St, Gothenburg, NE, or the American Legion Baseball Program.
