Felicitas Rios

Felicitas Rios, 75, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died May 21, 2023 at Gothenburg Health surrounded by her family.   

She was born January 2, 1948 in Edinburg, TX, daughter of Antonio and Aurora Garcia.

She married Refugio Rios on April 19, 1968 in West Palm Beach, FL and they recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. 

In her free time, she loved to fish, listen to country music, or attend church. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her grandkids and great-grandkids, taking them to the park. She also loved to watch her favorite tv shows including: NCIS, and loved watching movies especially Oh brother, Where art there, and La Bamba. She was an avid Michigan Wolverines fan, Go Blue! 

She had many great stories of her time growing up that she shared with family that brought many laughs and those stories will now live on through her family. 

Survivors include three children, Eva (Ron) Rios, Alejandro (Stella) Rios, and Rebecca (Miguel) Trevino, 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

Felicitas was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Bart Ortiz.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the First Mennonite Church, Fremont, OH 43420 with Pastor Antonio Ortiz Jr.

Memorials may be given to the family.
