Ed L. Myers, 68, of Brady, Nebraska, died November 26, 2014 at Great Plains Health in North Platte, NE.

He was born January 24, 1946 in Alliance, NE, son of Leslie and Wilma (Matz) Myers.

Ed lived in Stapleton, Callaway, Arnold and Brady. He graduated from Arnold High. He married Marlene Whipple on March 24, 1972 at Brady, NE to this union three daughters were born - Traci, Jerrilyn, and Leslie. Ed enjoyed trucking, he traveled two million miles through 49 of the 50 states. As a young man he loved to rodeo, and riding his horses. He liked dinking around with tractors with his friends. Most of all he loved spending time with his dog, family, friends, and grandkids. Ed didn't know a stranger, always there to lend a helping hand.

Survivors include his wife Marlene Myers of Brady, NE; three daughters, Traci (Chad) Hilbers of Hooper, NE, Jerrilyn Myers of Brady, NE, Leslie (Daryl Cauffman) Myers of North Platte, NE; grandchildren Sam Hilbers, Emma Hilbers, Alex Hilbers, Vanessa Myers, CJ Jehorek, Kaden Dady, and Cameron Cauffman; brother, Monte (Doreen) Myers; sister-in-law Janice (Marvin) Dewey; brother-in-law Tom (Jeanne) Whipple; nieces, nephews and several close friends.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Wilma Myers and his parents-in-law, Karl & Margaret Whipple.

Book signing will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 2:00 - 6:00 with the family present from 2-4 at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska.

Services will be held at Brady Community Center, December 1, 2014 at 10:30 am, the family asks for causal dress just blue jeans and boots. All trucks are welcome, for one last load with Ed.

Inurnment will follow in the Gaslin Cemetery, Brady, Nebraska.

Memorials may be given to the family for later designation.
