Denyse Sorenson

Denyse J. Sorenson, 68, of Curtis, Nebraska, died December 9, 2018 in North Platte, NE.

She was born November 16, 1950 in Victoria, TX, daughter of Eugene Otto Mutschler Jr. and Shirley (Barks) Mutschler.

Denyse grew up in Victoria, TX.  She worked for the City of Curtis for many years in the office. She loved cooking and gardening, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She enjoyed watching college football specifically the Texas Longhorns, and loved cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.

Survivors include her two sons, Kris Huckman of Curtis, NE, Wes Huckman of Themopolis, WY; grandchildren, Brody, Millie, and Kimber, all of Curtis, granddaughter Citori of Biloxi, MS; five brothers, Joe Mutschler, Gene Mutschler of Leander, TX, Bill Mutschler of Austin, TX, Jeff Mutschler of Round Rock, TX, and Marlin Mutschler of Vancouver, WA; along with many extended family and friends.

Denyse was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Mutschler.

Visitation will be held at Blase-Wetzel-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Curtis, Nebraska; Thursday, December 13, 2018, 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

Funeral Services will be held at Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 111 Center Ave, Curtis, on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 10:30 am with Tim Jones officiating.

Interment will follow in the Curtis Cemetery, Curtis, Nebraska.
Memorials may be designated to the family.
