Harold "Dean" Jensen, 88, of Cozad, NE, died October 10, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE.  

He was born on July 2, 1935 in Darr, NE, the son of Harold A. and Helen I. (Sill) Jensen.

Dean was married to Yolonda Pfeiffer on January26,1968 in North Platte, NE. He dedicated his career to custom harvesting and spent his entire life in Dawson county. He graduated from Cozad High School. Dean owned his own combine and truck where he followed the custom wheat harvest for several years to states such as Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and South Dakota, before working for D&D Farms of Gothenburg, and later he also worked alongside his son driving cars for Pony Express Chevrolet until May 2021 at the age of 86. Hard work was a core value for Dean, which he instilled in his two children. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, watching shows like Wheel Of Fortune and Gunsmoke, and he watched faithfully the KC Royals baseball team. He also cherished spending time with good friends over a few beers, visiting the Midway Lake Cabin, attending his grandchildren's sporting events, and creating lasting memories with his family.

Survivors include his  wife Yolonda, daughter Cristy (Bill) Vollenweider, son Corey (Gina) Jensen all of Cozad, NE; four grandchildren, Jaden Vollenweider and Carissa, Carly, Courtney Jensen; and sister Marlene Geiger of Cozad, NE; and brother-in-law Gordon Lindstedt of Cozad, NE.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Helen, sister Babe Linstedt; father-in-law Floyd Pfeiffer; mother-in-law Beth Pfeiffer; brothers-in-law Doug Pfeiffer; and Otto Geiger.

Register Book Signing will be held, October 13, 2023 at 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm,  at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel 620 Tenth, St, Gothenburg, NE, with the family present from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
