David Bryce DeBoer, 69, of Cozad, Nebraska, died July 31, 2018 at Cozad Community Hospital.
He was born September 14, 1948 in Lexington, NE, son of Bryce and Vivian (Brown) DeBoer.
David grew up in Cozad and graduated from Cozad High with the class of 1966. He lived at Cozad until 1980, Elwood 1980-1985, Almena, KS 1985-1999 and then back to Cozad. David enlisted in the US Air Force in December 1967 and served his country and was honorable discharged in December 1971. While in the service he served as a Staff Sergeant in Texas, Colorado, Florida and the Panama Canal Zone. After his discharge David was a member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. David married Carol Keith on June 10, 1972 at Denver, the couple had two children - Shane and Devra.
Survivors include his wife, Carol DeBoer of Cozad, NE, son, Shane (Stacie) DeBoer of Prairie View, KS; daughter, Devra DeBoer of Cozad, NE; two grandchildren Alyssa and Gage DeBoer of Prairie View, KS; sister, Patti (Greg) Andries of Palatka, FL; along with friends and extended family.
David was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents and several aunts and uncles.
A gathering for family and friends will take place on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church, 1704 Ave. C, Cozad, NE.
Private family services will be held at Fort McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell.
Memorials may be given to the DeBoer Family to be determined later.
