Danielle Dawn Engberg
With heavy hearts we share with you the passing of Danielle (Dani) Dawn Engberg on September 17, 2017 in Salem, OR after suffering a heart attack. She was 31 years old.
Dani was born on a very exciting Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1985. The excitement of that particular Thanksgiving and the sentiment behind the holiday stayed with Dani all of her life. She loved for things to be exciting, often saying things, telling stories or jokes, or playing little tricks on those she loved and those she just met to make things more interesting and a lot more fun!
She was a very generous soul. She loved to give gifts. Always showing up with something she just knew you had to have, sending little care packages to family further away, and spoiling nieces and nephews. No occasion was too small to give someone a little piece happiness and a reason to give was never necessary. It was who she was. She created a feeling of thanksgiving to all who were fortunate to know her.
Dani lived without fear, she loved without guard, and laughed with ease. She loved camping, traveling (especially with those she loved), shopping, and spending time with friends and family. She leaves behind so many people that loved her and will miss her immensely. She leaves behind a legacy of love, may the lives of all she touched be changed and may they love more deeply because of their time with her.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Robert (Pete) Tinlin. She is survived by her mother, Donna VanDolah, and sisters Tracy (Robert) Summers and children Josie, Eli and Andy; Betty(Jason) Vertin and children Lexi, Max, Chance, Rowen, Charlie and Mary; Scarlett (Aaron) Johnson and children Addison and Aarison; Angel (Nicholas) Lakin and children Isaac, Nicole, McKenzie, and Adelynn; Bobbie Mckelvey and daughter Airionna; and Samantha Klatt and children Colten, Colbi, and Kinsli; and brother Daniel (Cara) Dyke; honorary daughters Annabell and Destiney; and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.
Services will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, NE at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given In Memory of Danielle for a Memorial Bench to be placed in Hastings for people to enjoy and feel her spirit, Danielle Engberg Memorial, 1018 Port Neches Drive, Little Elm, TX 75068.
