Charles "Chuck" Belden

Gothenburg, Nebraska

Charles A. Belden Jr., 82, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died July 13, 2024 at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg, Nebraska. 

He was born March 8, 1942 in Alhambra, CA, son of Charles Sr. and Donella Belden. Chuck spent his early years in Placencia, CA. Following high school, Chuck enlisted in the United States Marines serving his country for four years. Chuck married Kathy Rowan on March 14, 1971. 

He was a member of the American Legion for over 30 years. Chuck loved to play pool, would often be found tinkering with old cars or anything else he could get his hands on, he enjoyed collecting antiques, and loved to draw. 

Survivors include wife, Kathy Belden of Gothenburg, NE; children, Bruce Lambertus of Gothenburg, NE; Rick Lambertus of Gothenburg, NE; Debbie Cook of Carson City, NV; Lisa Harris of Kingman, AZ; Tami and husband Todd Ekart of Lincoln, NE; James and wife Kristen Belden of Murrieta, CA; Grandchildren Erin Cook, Sean Cook, Tiffany Cook, Lindsay Cook, Jamie Cook, Shayne Larsen, David Harris, Chelsey White, Tyler Harris, Andrew Wilson, Justin Wilson, Kristina Wolf, Alison Ekart, Devynn Belden, Payton Sisler, Landon Sisler, Brooklyn Belden; along with several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Belden and Danella Swensen. 

Services will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, July 18, 2024 at 10:00 am. 

Interment will follow in Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska.

Memorials may be sent to the family for later designation.
