Brock Shane Johnson, 50 of Gothenburg, NE, died July 22, 2016 in Gothenburg, NE.

He was born January 10, 1966 in Lubbock, TX, son of Gene and Carole Adams Johnson.

Brock Graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1984.  Brock married Tami Matson on October 5, 1996 in McCook, NE.

Brock enjoyed farming, traveling with his family, collecting military surplus; trucks of all kinds, shooting guns, collecting model trains, and riding his Harley; making the yearly trip to the Sturgis Bike Rally.

Brock was a member of the United Methodist Church where he served on the board of trustees.  He was also a member of the American Legion.

Brock served in the Army from 1989 to 1999.  He was a member of the Army National Guard CO A 1-195 Armor Division, ranked as SGT/E-5 and was a M1A1 Tank Commander.

Surviving are wife, Tami Johnson of Gothenburg, Son Kyle Johnson of Gothenburg,  Daughter Abigail Johnson of Gothenburg,  Father, Gene Johnson of Gothenburg, and Sister Roxanne (Luke) Ritz of Gothenburg. In-laws Dennis and Nancy Matson of Bartley, brothers in law Ronald (Shanon) Matson of Kearney, Michael Matson of Bartley, Robert (Yolanda) Matson of McCook, Travis (Toni) Matson.  Sisters in law Denise (John) McRae of McCook, and Kimberly (Steve) Golgart of Wray, CO, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Brock was preceded in death by his Mother Carole and Grandparents Ike and Lola Adams.

Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, NE; Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm with the family present from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

Services will be held at First United Methodist Church, Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 10:30 am with Pastor Joel Plisek officiating.

Interment will follow at the Gothenburg Cemetery.

Memorials may be given in Brocks name.
