Allen Mladek

April 11, 1980 — June 1, 2024

Allen Mladek, 44, of Lexington, Nebraska, died June 1, 2024 at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE.

He was born April 11, 1980 in Cozad, NE, son of Charles Edward Mladek Jr. and Carol Harris.

Allen was an individualist who in his younger years, traveled around the U.S, he temporarily lived in Texas, California, Las Vegas, and many other states living his life the way he wanted as a free spirited soul. He always had plenty of stories to bring back to tell his loved ones about his adventures. Allen had a love for landscaping as well, he never considered it a job as he was doing something he loved, making things beautiful. In Allen’s free time away from traveling he enjoyed visiting thrift stores and picking up antique furniture to refurbish. He added a splash of elegance to everything he renovated. His pride and joy was a camper that he attained, and then remodeled with the most beautiful floors, and a paint job of blue exterior with a yellow stripe down the center. In recent months he began helping his brother Frank with the restoration of their childhood family farm property where Allen then helped care for many farm animals and continued to refurbish his vintage findings in his free time.

He is survived by his mother, Carol (Jerry Miller) Harris of Gothenburg; father, Charles Edward Mladek, Jr. of Cozad; brothers, Frank (Barb) Mladek of Lexington and Johnie (Danelle) Witthuhn of Lincoln; sisters Meranda Mladek of San Antonio, TX and Brandi Coufal of Grand Island; three nieces, Aubree (Jordan) Mladek of Willow Island, Emma Mladek of Cozad, and Kelsey (Axel) Cassel of Kearney; five nephews, Jesse Mladek of Cozad, Asiah Mladek of Gothenburg, Axel Cassel of Kearney, Dylynn Coufal of Grand Island, and Ander Witthuhn of Lincoln; two great-nieces, Tenleigh Malcom of Kearney and Dawsyn Cassel of Kearney.

Allen was preceded in death by grandparents Charles and Violet Mladek, Eugene Harris, and Hazel Lee Sisson, and uncles, Frank and Allen Mladek.

Allen was laid to rest next to his Grandparents in the Cozad Cemetery, Cozad, Nebraska.
