Albert Nelson Boson 77, of Gothenburg passed away on May 1, 2023. He was born May 19, 1945, to Earl and Beatrice (Meyers) Boson in McCook Nebraska.
Still a young child, Albert and his family moved to Hyattville Wyoming. He graduated high school in Billings Montana in 1963 and went to trade school to study mechanics.
Albert met his life's love, Viola DuBry and on August 23, 1965, they were married in Cody Wyoming. To this union, six children were born. Matthew, Luke, Mark, Tammie, Amy, and Nelson. The family lived in Wyoming, Montana, and finally settled in Nebraska. Last year, they celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary.
Albert had many jobs throughout his life. While living in Wyoming, he worked as a mechanic, construction, drove trucks carrying supplies to oil rigs and at Dresser Minerals plant in Greybull. Once they moved to Gothenburg, he worked as a farm hand for Roland and Matt Lauer, Mann Hay Company, Jack & Jill, and Monroe Auto Equipment.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, hiking, rock hunting, computer games, and spending time with his family. Any time outside was considered a good time.
Anyone who knew Albert also knew that he was a jokester and always liked to pick on others, anything to make them laugh.
Survivors include his sons, Mark (Becky) Boson, Nelson (Randi Hamm) Boson all of Gothenburg. His daughters, Tammie (Mike) Henry of Cody Wyoming, and Amy Einspahr of Gothenburg. Ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. His brothers Richard (Josie) Boson of Lewiston, ID., Wayne Boson of Worland, WY., Charlie (Cindy) Boson of Hyattville, WY. Sisters, Nora (Fred) Mather of Worland, WY., Veda (Steve) Bristow of Gardnerville, NV., and Nancy Oches of Cody, WY. and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his wife Viola, infant sons Matthew and Luke Boson, parents Earl and Beatrice (Meyers) Boson, sister Susan Avert, parents in-law Lyle and Irene (Dishman) DuBry, brothers in-law Lynne Oches, Steve DuBry, William (Bill) DuBry, and sister in-law Judy DuBry.
Memorial services will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 11:00 am.
